The FAA analyst is an individual contributor role offer a valuable opportunity to understand the complexities of the Upstream Oil Gas industry, gain advanced level SAP and data structures comprehension and play a valued role in one of Shell’s strategic growth areas. This role will report to LE controller and FAA lead of SEPCO controllers Organization. Key relationship and great collaboration with natural working teams like Asset Finance, Business Finance, Planning and Appraisal, Wells Exploration Finance, JV accounting, Expenditure, tax, Local statutory reporting, Group – Business Analysis (Group Accounting / Policy) etc., are very critical for the operations apart from working along with other stakeholders like IT, GRA, SIA, Resource Assurance and Reporting (RAR), World Class Close project team and EY external auditors. - What’s the role? – Accountabilities The RA financial analyst role demonstrate supportive to Fixed Assets accounting, month close and reporting activities for the complex and key entity in Upstream and would be working in few of the below process areas Capitalization, Retirement/transfer of Assets Impairment IFRS USGAAP Executing the Quarterly/annual Decommissioning Restoration (DR) including USGAAP Support during the merger/divestment of Asset/legal entity IFRS16 Lease accounting (including USGAAP) Adhere book closure timelines and support World class close initiative. Blackline GL Account reconciliation, analysis and clearance of open items Legal entity financial statement preparation and analysis Operating all SOX and internal controls in line with Work Instructions and the Group Drive the digital automation and provide quality analysis for MI/group reporting/Tax reporting. Supporting GRA, SIA and EY Audit Collaboration with other RA colleagues and other processes to ensure timely closure of ledger Dimensions Entity has multiple line of Businesses like Deepwater, Unconventional and Exploration with Property Plant and Equipment balances of worth $19 billion. Key unusual items and transactions happening almost all the quarters for the entity to be reported to Group. What do we need from you - Qualification and Experience required? Graduate and with a preference of any Professional Qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CA) or can demonstrate qualification through experience. Should be strong in accounting, analysis, and reporting Good excel skill. Knowledge on Macros will be an added advantage. Possess excellent communications skills – both written and verbal. Aspiration to Learn, Adaptability to Change and Desire to Grow is mandatory. strong stakeholder’s management skill. Look beyond the scope of requests being made by being proactive, creative and pragmatic thinker. Good knowledge of Financial and computer systems/applications (SAP).
