The Office of Information, Knowledge and Library Services (OIKLS), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) invites applications for the position of Senior Librarian in the Academic Engagement Team. We are looking for an individual with a working knowledge on copyright matters as it relates to libraries and educational institutions, exposure to library-faculty engagement activities and services as well as experience in providing systematic literature search services for different types of reviews. The successful candidate will work closely with the Team to provide copyright advisories, systematic search consultations, general research enquiry service as well as implement faculty engagement programmes. This position will report to the Team Lead of Academic Engagement in OIKLS. Responsibilities Plan and manage the assessment of faculty needs and requirements for relevant library resources and services, communicate key observations, recommendations and proposed solutions to library management and stakeholders. Explore and facilitate collaboration with faculty and library team on the integration of library resources and services into the teaching, curriculum and research activities. Manage the assessment of feedback on resources and provide justification for new and relevant resources. Develop resource and service guides as well as research pathways on topics relevant to school programmes and university research. Develop new and creative workshops for AI and information literacy as well as research pathways on topics relevant to school programmes and university research. Develop, organize and conduct library orientation sessions for new faculty. Provide touch base sessions with new faculty at regular intervals of six months and one year. Develop, organize and conduct monthly library briefing sessions for new research staff. Lead in projects with library stakeholders and relevant offices such as organising a seminar, exhibition or developing new workshops. Facilitate the organisation of talks, webinars and seminars on a range of topics with specific focus on systematic searching for different academic reviews, copyright related topics, scholarly communications and research services. Manage and provide in-person/online reference and research consultation services as well as information seeking advice and effective access to relevant information and library resources. Provide advice and consultation specifically on literature reviews and systematic search strategies for research. Provide advisory service on copyright and related matters for faculty, researchers, students and administrative staff. Build understanding of the information needs of the university community, promote library resources and services, and collect feedback on OIKLS services. Requirements A recognized MSc in Information Studies (MLIS or equivalent) is preferred. A recognized bachelors degree in any field. At least 7 years of professional working experience in academic, research or special libraries. Excellent communication skills and a strong service-orientation. Good interpersonal and collaboration skills. Good organizational and time management skills. Able to work independently as well as in a team.
