[What the role is] You will assist the Chief Engineer to develop, review and update port-industry integration plans to support long term maritime and port development in Singapore. The key responsibilities include: Work closely with the relevant agencies on the planning and development of Tuas Port, incumbent’s key role is to plan for a vibrant Tuas eco-system to support port operations. Work closely with relevant agencies on the review and implementation of the Port Master Plan. Review intermodal transportation of cargoes with MOT and stakeholders and improve home-to-work accessibility for people who work in the terminals. Manage feasibility studies to support the development of the Port-Industry Integration Plan Manage pre-reclamation studies for the development of Tuas Port To scan latest technologies in container handling equipment, terminal operating systems/concepts, container port construction, etc and incorporate suitable technologies in the review and updating of the Port Master Plan To carry out hydrodynamic, wave and sediment transport simulation in the evaluation/formation of port master plan To carry out development/enhancement and running of oil spill and search rescue simulations to support emergency operations and exercises Requirements Strong civil engineering background Candidates with at least 3 years relevant working experience. Candidates with professional qualifications although not necessary, will be an advantage. Good verbal and written communication skills.
