Job Description: Job Title Head of Controls Testing Assurance (CTA) Strategy and Optimisation Location London Corporate Title Director Controls Testing Assurance (“CTA”) executes risk-based testing and quality assurance monitoring on behalf of the Bank’s Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) and Compliance Departments to provide assurance that the Bank has appropriate systems and controls that are operating effectively to manage its Financial Crime and Compliance Risks. As Head of CTA Strategy and Optimisation you will support the Head of CTA in the development of CTA strategy and in identifying and driving key Optimisation initiatives that will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of CTA overall program. You can expect Competitive salary and non-contributory pension 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional days Life Assurance and Private Healthcare for you and your family A range of flexible benefits including Retail Discounts, a Bike4Work scheme and Gym benefits The opportunity to support a wide ranging CSR programme + 2 days’ volunteering leave per year Your key responsibilities Coordinate the yearly CTA 5 Year Strategic Plan refresh and Strategy Meetings of the Leadership Team Identify and assess Optimisation levers (including Tooling, usage of Analytics/AI, Methodology/KODs simplification, MI automation, Location Footprint) to prioritise Initiatives Establish Governance around the CTA Optimisation Initiatives Contribute to and/or front Optimisation Initiatives across Testing and QA Engage into the NFR RE-Engineering KD Workstreams and Assurance related activities in the Dynamic Control Framework Your skills and experience Strong understanding of compliance and financial crime risks and the appropriate design and operation of internal controls and Testing, solid experience working in the Anti-Financial Crime or Compliance area in a large financial institution Excellent research, problem solving, strategic thinking and ability to identify, escalate and communicate issues in an effective and succinct manner Strong managerial skills and people management experience including strong track record to engage with globally dispersed teams Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Ability to work solely and accurately within tight deadlines, including prioritising workload with minimal supervision Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience with creating macros an advantage.
