Primary Location Ferntree Gully - Maintenance Services Job Description Summary Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Communications Technician to join our Ferntree Gully workforce. About the Role ServiceStream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking Communications Technicians to join our growing company. Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time Location: Ferntree Gully, Victoria Key Responsibilities In this role you will be primarily responsible forming part of the Field Delivery Team working as part of a team or as an individual contributor at times. Building, Maintaining and Decommissioning Telecommunication Networks, including but not limited to Optus, Uecomm, NBN, Telstra, TPG, Telco Authorities and Power Utility. The Field Delivery Team will work across multiple work types and clients, reporting into the State Field Delivery Manager. You will also be responsible for the following: Work onsite/in field as part of one or multiple crews daily Willing and able to be part of a rostered-On Call Availability, including working outside normal working hours on a regular basis. Willing and able to work away from home from time to time Communicate/report on scheduled works changes or to Field Supervisor. Participate of actual site start up (i.e., mandatory pre-start activities) About You Hold a current Driver’s license. Construction OHS Induction Card. Hold MR or higher Truck License. Experience in an Infrastructure Services environment. Experience in the Telecommunications industry. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel Outlook. Good communication skills. Ability to respond calmly and decisively during a major incident or emergency. Ability to work autonomously within teams. Experience working at heights.
