Summary We are looking for an experienced mechanical design engineer in the mining mineral processing industry. Engineer will be working with team at Weir EnSci, Bengaluru and interact with our business units (Australia) to provide the new solutions. Engineers need to work on chute designs, crushing and screening modules, wash plant modules, product set (like drive frame, isolation frames), and any other components related to mining plants. Engineers should be able to work under minimum guidance. Requirements Experience in chute designs, crushing and screening modules, wash plant modules, product set (like drive frame, isolation frames), and any other components related to mining plants. Able to work under minimum guidance and ability to make engineering judgments. Ability to evaluate existing designs and propose design alternatives optimization. Key Responsibilities Including but not limited to: Good Knowledge on general fabrication principles, welding, tolerance, and other relevant drafting standards for preparing Fabrication drawings. Create assembly model and detail part drawings / fabrication drawings using NX CAD system. Concept visualization of drawing for better understanding and explanation. The Engineer is completely responsible for OTD, Budget, Quality of deliverables (FTR). Execute tasks to standards within schedule and cost (hours) goals. Highlights all technical risks to the next level. Should take ownership and responsibility for the designs carried out by self. Review and investigate design alternatives and ensure all factors are considered to meet customer specifications. Interact with peers and business partners to understand the scope and to clarify the queries Knowledge about international safety norms for walkways, handrails, stairs, etc. Participate in design reviews on both internal and external Education and Experience Diploma in Mechanical with 7 to 10 years or B.E/B. Tech in Mechanical with 5 to 8 years of experience in the mining mineral processing industry. Experience in the mineral processing comminution plants and wet plant designs (chute designs, crushing and screening modules, wash plant modules, product set like drive frames, isolation frames, and any other components related to mining plants.) is necessary. Language Skills: Proficiency in English (Written and Verbal). Mathematical: Basic Mathematical principles Reasoning Ability: Logical reasoning ability Computer Skills: CAD tools preferably with UG NX, AutoCAD, MS Office 365 Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook), Teamcenter / PDM tools. Behavioral Skills Should be Quality conscious and process driven. Personal accountability and ownership for areas of responsibility. Open-minded in supporting occasional urgent requests.
