AECOM is looking for a Principal Overhead Wiring (OHW) Design Engineer to join our Melbourne Rail team. This is an exciting time to join our organisation and work on major projects in Victoria and Australia wide!This position requires the candidate to be involved in OHW designs from feasibility, through concept, reference, detail design and ultimately commissioning and handover to the Client. The candidate will be required to have the necessary skills for doing design, checking and mentoring of more junior engineers, as well as demonstrating leadership on specific projects and being a Team player. Layout plan design, OHW sectioning, cross section design, switching design, allocation design and providing technical support to construction teams are some of the skills and qualities that will be required.We are looking for a Principal level or an experienced Senior working towards Principal level, to support an established team in the OHW market and to be part of a great OHW Team.Knowledge of different OHW systems, such as 25kV AC, 1500V DC, Heavy Rail Light Rail is essential and international experience would be an advantage but not a pre-requisite.
