We are looking for a skilled and experienced International Purchasing/Procurement Specialist to join our team and manage the procurement of medical products from international suppliers.

Job Summary:

The International Purchasing/Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing medical products and supplies from international vendors. This role requires strong negotiation skills, knowledge of international trade regulations, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Sourcing and Management:

Identify and evaluate potential international suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Negotiation and Contract Management:

Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals for Healthmart.
Prepare and manage purchase contracts, ensuring all terms are clearly defined and agreed upon.
Monitor contract performance and address any issues or disputes that arise.
3. Procurement Planning and Execution:

Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company’s needs and objectives.
Coordinate with internal departments to determine product requirements and forecast demand.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from order placement to delivery and payment.
4. Logistics and Compliance:

Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including customs requirements, import/export laws, and documentation.
Resolve any logistical issues that may arise during the shipping process.
5. Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of medical products and supplies.
Work closely with the warehouse team to manage incoming shipments and inventory turnover.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
6. Market Analysis and Reporting:

Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new products.
Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
