Checking Authority Approval Status in Smart Hub and issue to Contractor accordingly.Management of the materials testing laboratory involving tests in accordance with contract specification and relevant BS, BSEN, ASTM, AASHTO Standards. Ensure the laboratory is duly equipped, calibrated, equipment’s are in proper working order, controlling material and its testing for compliance, verify all materials before use and the contractor staffs are qualified and skilled to accomplish the job.Review of QA/QC plan and Inspection and testing plan (ITP), Method statement of works, prepare and maintain Materials submittal log in line with baseline program and ensure timely approval of the materials prior to their schedule date of their use on site.Inspect the contractor’s asphalt plant, concrete batching plant, visit the proposed source of borrow pits, aggregate quarries and arrange for necessary sampling and testing prior to approval.Arrange for cross checking of contractor’s proposed laboratory mix design on asphalt and structural concrete, carryout plant site trials prior to their approval.Supervise productions and testing procedures. Laboratory and Field testing for compliance of materials, Preparing and verifying test reports. Approval of Work Inspection Request (WIR).Coordinating with Sr. Resident Engineer the construction activity and material for complianceFollow the contractor’s daily routine testing program and distribute the works among the consultant’s laboratory supervising staff so, that all the RFA’s are duly attended, checked for compliance with project specification and processed on time.Checking that the materials delivered to site are from approved Source only and properly stored and follow the Manufacturer Method statement, report discrepancies to the project manager.Prepare draft letter on behalf of RE on materials related issue to be issued to the Contractor. Ensure required SOR, NCR’s are issued and closed on time.Review monthly materials testing report in its standard format, summarizing all the QA/QC reports.Preparing Monthly Quality Dash Board, Attend the Quality meeting, Prepare MOM Quality Site Walk report.
