As a result of continued growth in workload and project opportunities across transportation projects, AECOM have an exciting opportunity for an experiencedAssociate Director – Traffic Engineering to provide support on a range of transformational transportation projects across Australia and New Zealand.Based in our Sydney office and working within an industry leading team,the core focus of this role will be the building and strengthening of AECOM’s Transport Advisory presence and market share in NSW and across ANZ through provision of excellence in project delivery, technical leadership and coaching, development and mentoring our colleagues.This key role plays a key technical leadership role across traffic engineering across ANZ, with three key areas of focus:· Firstly, excellence in project delivery for our key clients, which covers project development, optimising and enhancing operations and services. The technical focus area will be transport engineering and planning on both large multi-disciplinary and smaller civils led projects.· Secondly, business development activities to build and maintain key relationships, to gather and disseminate relevant industry intel and knowledge, and to position for and to help bring in exciting, city shaping transport and cities projects. In addition, maintaining active links with relevant industry associations and with major industry partners, including clients.· Thirdly, providing mentoring, coaching and leadership to junior team members and also actively collaborating with peers and team members, and the wider business, to support the positive, vibrant culture, and to help others delivering team as well as individual success.About YouStrong candidates will have extensive experience and specialise in both strategic and detailed multi-modal urban traffic and transport engineering, combined with an extensive understanding of the latest trends in thinking, academic theory, policy and research in optimising how people move and how well integrated cities function, especially from a movement perspective.
