[What the role is] We are looking for a service-oriented individual to join the Operations Facilities Management Department which oversees the operation and maintenance of Government cemeteries, crematoria and columbaria. You will be stationed at government cemetery office and will play a key role in providing after-death care service. [What you will be working on] You will be responsible for the following: Assist in preparation for tender and quotations Oversee and monitor the performance of external contractors to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of project Carry out preparatory works, such as ground survey, verify documents, plot layout plan and clean up burial records of the affected graves prior to physical exhumation Manage registered exhumation and niche contractors and other parties involved in exhumation related projects Attend and assist claimants of affected graves throughout the whole exhumation and ash placement process Attend to public feedback and enquiries, including handling difficult customers and putting up recommendations to challenging cases Track and monitor ground situations, including statistics collation and reports preparation Develop and review work process, and put in place systems to ensure efficient operations with no errors Maintain and ensure a level of service to claimants and members of public Perform other duties assigned by supervisor [What we are looking for] Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills Attention to details Keen interest in project management work Comfortable to work in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders Have physical stamina to walk and stand long durations every day, and to withstand exposure to weather conditions Able and willing to work on weekends and public holidays, and to work in after-death environment Applicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
