1) Reports to the Surface Treatment Manager pertaining to the quantities of material blasted on day-to-day basis and corrective measures to achieve planned targets by ensuring efficient utilization of machine, material and human resource.
2) Follow-up on daily basis with internal departments namely MPS, Fabrication to transfer material in blasting section and make necessary arrangement of machine, manpower to complete the assigned production as per plan.
3) Prepare daily report of machine breakdown & and machine hours lost due to power failure mechanical failure and of report pertaining to man hours lost in this process & corrective measures taken to prevent further loss
4) Co-ordinates with the Maintenance department to plan & carry out preventive maintenance of machine at regular intervals to avoid stoppages of machines and continuity in smooth operation of machine.
5) Prepare time sheet of workmen to trace output of each personnel working on shop floor for better productivity, discipline & control.
6) Co-ordinates with the Quality control department for any quality related issues after blasting and ensure that all corrective measures are undertaken, and material is re-blasted until it meets all quality norms and customer specification.
7) Supervise the entire housekeeping of the area under his jurisdiction and ensure shop floor is clear for smooth passage of material, manpower by regularly lifting wastages & disposing off the same into the scrap yard.
8) Ensure all safety equipment are available on shop floor and ensure workmen use the safety equipment while performing the assigned jobs to minimize accidents, near miss incidences.
