Sets up the production equipment and supplies before executing job orders.
Operates the equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
Ensures that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
Inspects equipment to identify any required replacements, malfunctions, and repairs.
Monitors the process outcome to ensure production capacity and quality.
Supports other teammates in their assigned responsibilities.
Repairs and cleans the equipment when needed.
Evaluates equipment performance and recommends improvements.
Follows safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
Recommends process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Contributes to waste management programs.
Maintains the work area and ensures it is clean, safe, and organized.
Immediate communication to shift supervisor in case of downtime, identified mechanical or electrical issues.
Communication to the shift supervisor or process engineer in case of identified process issues.
Maintains equipment with daily cleaning.
Calibration and set-up of all mill equipment in the CTP area.
Performs all tooling changes.
Required to work schedule, be on time and expected to work overtime when needed.
Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
Performs or assists with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
Assists other operators, maintenance or production personnel in other production duties as needed.
Assists in new trial development.
Strives for Continual Improvement.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by your supervison.
REQIURED:
High school or GED
Significant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Control room operations experience required.
General hot rolling experience is preferred, seamless experience is a plus.
Basic understanding of automated processes is a must.
Strong safety awareness and experience.
Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisors, coworkers, and management.
General computer knowledge is required; Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, etc..
