Overview The Centre for Research in Child Development (CRCD) was established in 2017 with funding from the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE). Hosted at the National Institute of Education (NIE), the CRCD conducts studies focusing on factors that influence the course of development from infancy through middle childhood. The Centre is interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Testing, measurement, psychometrics With applications in quantitative psychology and early childhood Candidates with appropriate qualifications and relevant research experience are encouraged to apply. We invite applications for the position of Education Research Scientist/Senior Education Research Scientist to join the CRCD. Requirements PhD in a relevant discipline Minimum 2 years of post-PhD experience Ability to lead a research team Track record in the following areas: High-quality publications (please provide samples and information on the quality and impact of your work based on citations and ranking of journal publications) Planning and writing research project proposals that are funded through competitive peer-reviewed funding processes Independence in research (i.e. sole authorship/senior authorship of high-quality publications and invited presentations at conferences) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (spoken and written English) Ability to work with colleagues within a team Responsibilities Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement the centre’s research programme Take a leading role in the development of research projects and programmes and in seeking and pursuing appropriate external funding Disseminate the outcomes of research in peer-reviewed publications of international standing Support CRCD in its efforts to impact practice and policy through research projects and programmes Manage and conduct administrative and management tasks associated with research or programme Participate in research of strategic importance to CRCD and NIE Participate in the wider research and service activities of CRCD and NIE Application Interested applicants should complete and submit the following documents: Cover letter addressing how you meet each of the requirements of this position Resume including a list of your qualifications, publications, grants and leadership experience, previous experience and a brief description of your achievements Research statement indicating your research expertise, interests, and future directions 1 to 3 of your best publications Name of at least 3 referees Any other documents that demonstrate your qualifications Closing Date Review of applicants will continue until the position is filled.
