The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) at Nanyang technological University in Singapore invites applications for the position of Part time Research Assistant to support a new project funded by the Office for Space Technology and Industry (OSTIn). We are looking for someone with a passion for making Singapore and Southeast Asia a safer and more sustainable place in the face of climate change, sea-level rise, and their associate hazards, through supporting and communicating critical research on remote sensing for carbon stock flux monitoring. Key Responsibilities: Research, design and produce communication products about project results and activities via visual materials and writings targeted to relevant stakeholders, including government agencies and the general public, including internal reports, social media, and other external communications, working closely with the EOS Community Engagement Office. Liaise with the relevant agencies, stakeholders, collaborators, and vendors, as appropriate. Participate in and contribute to project research and management meetings. Participate in various public engagement activities, working closely with the EOS Community Engagement Office. Provide research support as needed, such as background literature review. Job Requirements: BSc degree or enrolled at a university in communications and media art or other related field. Familiar with and interested in human-environmental systems, public policy, non-governmental or humanitarian work. Very well organized with experience in project management and communication. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Self-driven, highly motivated, collaborative, with interest to work with other researchers and scientists (team player) to produce high-quality and impactful research. Evidence of being able to work both independently and collaboratively, with a strong team spirit.
