Product Engineer Rotary Kiln Experience: Minimum 5-8 years in design and manufacturing of Rotary kiln/Cooler. Your responsibilities 1. As a Product Engineer, he/she shall act as product expert and leads the development and performance of the products to ensure that they are functioning according to quality and cost expectations. 2. Applying mechanical engineering principles to develop products (e.g., Rotary Kiln and Cooler etc.) 3. Advise on the solution/equipment / product to use while proposing a client solution. 4. Participate in design work and product customization 5. Assist operations with manufacturing problems and implementation of low cost sourcing 6. Troubleshoot complex problems related to manufacturing and activities that occur on site. 7. Adjust optimal technical solutions to each specific project to fulfill customer needs and requirements 8. Stay informed about competitors’ products / solutions and client needs to enable prompt and correct adaption of product functionality 9. Develop systems/improves methodology/systems to minimize/prevent technical problems with the overall aim to improve technical performance 10. Represent and support both the global as well as regional interests while ensuring complete compliance on FLS guidelines. 11. Participates actively in team environment and contribute to successful completion of team goals. 12. Expect to travel to meet customers suppliers for technical discussions / inspection / trouble shooting. 13. Understanding client requirements PI diagrams and collate inputs from various departments to take care of the product design 14. Design the product with supporting calculations 15. Check Model, Flow sheets, General arrangement drawings, layouts, Fabrication drawings and Partlists 16. Make specification for buy out equipments, evaluate vendor offer for technical requirements 17. Co-ordinate with PM/SCM/CS for effective contract execution of the product/retrofits/parts 18. Co-ordinate with global counterparts on global order execution 19. Adhere to departmental procedures and systems 20. Improve technical skills by continuous learning sharing 21. Expect to Travel to domestic / International sites to carry out the mechanical audit/trouble shooting. What you bring To qualify for this position, you must have as a minimum, the following qualifications and experience · Experience designing industrial equipment · Previous experience with Rotary Kiln/cooler, Horizontal Mill, Rotating equipment preferred · Proficient with Solidworks , Autocad and using PLM systems ·FEA preferrable Proficient with engineering design tools Proficient in engineering fundamentals · Proficient in Microsoft Office Proficient in Manufacturing processes, Knowledge on basic design calculations, Welding, Materials and global quality standards · Good verbal and written communication skills Knowledge on basic design calculations Conceptual thinking Problem solving Basic understanding of the design requirements of disciplines outside discipline · Ability to collaborate with core discipline design teams to achieve a working solution to problems and/or design issues Able to lead and work in teams reaching a common goal · Proficient in change management and conflict resolution · Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings.
