Location(s): India City/Cities: Ahmedabad Travel Required: Relocation Provided: Job Posting End Date: March 3, 2024 Shift: Job Description Summary: Position Overview This position plays a key role in shaping the people function for our new greenfield plant in Sanand, India. As the Director, People Culture you'll play a key role on both the project and plant leadership team. This role is responsible for end-to-end HR deliver for our CPS plant in Sanand. The scope of the role includes organizational development, performance and talent management, leadership development, talent acquisition, employee engagement, culture, communication, change management and rewards and recognition. What You'll Do For Us Greenfield Plant Setup Culture Building: HR Strategy: Partner with the plant leadership team to develop a strategic and operational People Plan for the plant. Act as a thought partner to the plant leadership team, and elevate the potential implications of short and long-term decisions on the workforce and engagement. Strategic Workforce Planning: Partner with leadership to define the workforce needs of the plant, considering future growth and operational requirements. Organizational Design Culture Development: Design the organizational structure to optimize efficiency and collaboration. Implement an onboarding program that fosters belonging and engagement from day one. Champion the development of a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with our company's values. Act as a change management facilitator. Community Stakeholder Relations: Build strong relationships with local communities, educational institutions, and other stakeholders. Actively engage with these groups to understand their needs and concerns, and leverage them to support the plant's operations and talent acquisition efforts. HR Programs Processes: Establish HR Infrastructure: Implement HR policies, processes, and systems that comply with local regulations, industry best practices, and aligned to company's overall HR framework. Talent Acquisition Development: Implement a robust recruitment strategy to attract talent aligned with the plant's needs. Oversee the development of training and development programs to equip employees with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their roles. Lead the PDF (people development forum) process for the plant, and ensure we have talent pipeline and development plans in place for critical roles. Employee Relations Engagement: Foster positive employee relations, address concerns promptly and fairly, and implement programs to help our employees thrive. Proactively manage complex labor issues, in compliance with local labor law and best practice. Lead Employee Insights Survey (EIS) deployment in the organization, including results analysis. Work with the plant leadership team to develop and implement meaningful action plans to close gaps and improve employee experience. Additional Responsibilities: Functional HR Support: Provide strategic HR guidance to other functions within the plant. Office Administration Facilities Management: Ensure the smooth operation of office administration and facilities, including managing third-party contracts. Compliance Risk Management: Maintain compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Identify and mitigate HR-related risks. Requirements: Minimum 6 years of HR experience with strong business partnering skills in a large multinational organization. Proven experience in a greenfield or start-up environment is highly desirable. University degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management. Experience in the manufacturing or FMCG industry is preferred. Strong understanding of local labor laws, and experience of dealing with complex labor issues. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Proactive, results-oriented, and adaptable to change.
