Office Administrator Weir Minerals Canada Calgary, AB Onsite Purpose of Role: The Office Administrator will be required to perform an array of administrative duties including secretarial and reception, as well as providing coverage as appropriate for other staff during absences or vacations. Additional responsibilities include, processing timecards, taking minutes during meetings, scheduling appointments for all departmental managers, and organizing/maintaining file system. The Office Administrator may also provide support in reviewing material usage for job closings, to ensure all items are accounted for transacting defined functions in SAP for shipping and job closure. Key Responsibilities: Focus Area: Verify entered production orders, including creating identification labels, creating PO requests for consumables and inventory items, and supplying PO confirmations to customers. Focus Area: Provide support for required onboarding and training, maintain employee training and certification records/validation, coordinate/arrange travel schedule and reservations, and track kilometers and expenses of management. Focus Area: Use SAP for direct labor data entry and reporting for shop floor employees and creating Purchase Requisitions for all consumables in support of production. Focus Area: Monitor all incoming materials for release to production, perform cost analysis of production orders before closing and adjust as necessary, and work closely with shipping/receiving department to ensure pick tickets/receiving and shipping docs are handled accordingly. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above. 3+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or relevant role Proficient use of office based software, including Microsoft Office, SAP, Coupa, or MRP is an asset.
