For more information, visit www.ntu.edu.sg About NIE About RSIS About LKCMedicine About NTUItive A Research Associate is required to support the planning and execution of various research projects under a research grant funded by AI Singapore at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI). The candidate must work closely with the Principal Investigator on qualitative and experimental research related to artificial intelligence (AI) and psychological responses to AI-based training programs. Job Responsibilities Keeping track of expenditure and remaining budget in an organized manner, ensuring that the spend is optimized and on track with respect to goals set for the grant. Liaising with external vendors to purchase necessary equipment/materials for research studies, including specialized equipment such as virtual reality (VR) headsets, software, as well as participant incentives Lead the recruitment of participants for experiment sessions and focus groups Manage students and research assistants in conducting literature reviews Plan the necessary logistics, for the administration of experiments and focus group sessions, such as scheduling, booking facilities, and preparing IRB documentation Participate in the data collection process for both qualitative (e.g. interviews, focus group sessions) and quantitative (e.g. experiments, surveys) studies Analyze data for various projects using tools such as SPSS, R, and/or Microsoft Excel Prepare financial and progress reports, presentations, as well as other research-related documents Draft conference and journal submissions based on research findings Job Requirements Master’s in communication studies, information studies, or related social science fields Good project management skills, with multi-tasking ability Skills and basic training in quantitative and qualitative research for social science Academic writing skills required Ability to run standard statistical tests (e.g., using SPSS or SATS or R, for regression, ANOVA, etc.) Knowledge of advanced statistical tests (e.g. moderation/mediation, hierarchical regression etc.) is preferred A good team player with effective communication skills and the ability to work closely with faculty, staff, students and external collaborators Past experience in a project officer or research assistant role is preferred We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
