Job Description: Position overview Central Chief Information Office (CCIO) develops the overarching technology architecture for private customer business and the jointly used technology platforms. OMS is the strategic central platform for document generation and optimisation. Its main functionality is to receive business data transactions or customer data to create document formats (e.g., PDF) as an output to various customer communication channels and archives. As SRE, you will be responsible for all aspects of production environment engineering including hands on support, setting up monitoring automation tools as well as driving production issues towards resolution. You will work closely with our offshore production support and deployment team in Romania and Germany in order to ensure safety as well as reliability of our production environment. Responsibilities Develop technical expertise of the OMS application including business flows, the application architecture and the infrastructure configuration Automate real-time monitoring, technical workarounds and other 'toil' efforts, including deployments Drive the transformation of classical production support into more innovative and engineering focused approach based on Google’s SRE concept Set up the application configuration including DR, backup and restore or network in the production environment. Ensure application tech stack is up-to-date and lead essential infrastructure and software upgrades end to end Conduct post-mortems of incidents and take necessary actions to minimize the impact and avoid reoccurrence. Ensure bug fixes and stability related features are prioritized within the development team backlog Manage severe incidents towards resolution keeping all stakeholders informed of the situation and working to minimize impact wherever possible Skills Experiences Bachelor of Science degree or similar from an accredited college or university Professional experience as SRE, DevOps or Production engineering role, or senior SL3 support role with focus on technology Sound knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes operations with GKE or experience with any cloud platform (GCP/Azure/AWS) Previous experience with Linux based technologies including application servers, messaging platforms, load balancers Skilled user of relational databases, including writing SQL queries Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
