Role Purpose Supports the Capital Markets portfolio to ensure projects and programmes are delivered in line with LSEG standards and controls. Working closely with the project managers and other change delivery partners, the PMO Lead role is responsible for providing all primary PMO services, including but not limited to support on project level: Planning and schedule management, Financial management (including resource effort and purchase costs), Resource management, Risk and Issue management, Reporting and communications, Governance and change control, and Quality assurance. The PMO Lead will also provide supplementary training to project managers on LSEG Group Project Management standards as and when appropriate and provide quality assurance on the output reports and data inputs. The role will also support the Project Manager in producing end-of-project reviews, highlighting any necessary improvements/lessons learnt. Role Responsibilities - Creates and maintains a change roadmap for the portfolio showing both external and internal key deliverables, business outcomes and dependencies. - Supports the annual portfolio investment request process and performs regular financial reviews to track and measure financial performance against plan at the project, programme and portfolio level. - Monitors the progress of tasks against timelines, budgets, advising Project and Programme Managers where activities are behind schedule or over budget. - Monitors and maintains business outcomes and both financial and non-financial benefits tracking across the portfolio. - Ensures governance procedures are adhered to by project managers, for example: All project artefacts maintained throughout the project lifecycle (plans, resourcing profiles, cost plans, benefits schedules, RAID items, Change Requests and status reports) are up to date, accurate and follow Group quality standards. Projects adhere to the change framework, use Group standard templates and are subject to the correct stage gate procedures throughout the project lifecycle. - Collates, consolidates, and analyses project information to produces effective reports to keep management appraised of portfolio status, major risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes, resource changes and achievements or misses. - Works with the Portfolio Manager, PMOs and Programme/Project managers to understand and maintain an accurate and detailed delivery risk within the portfolio. - Supports adoption of the new Capital Markets PDLC (Product Development Lifecycle) process and quality assurance of the relevant PDLC artifacts. - Builds trust with customers by consistently understanding and fulfilling customer requests in an accurate, timely and professional manner. Candidate Profile / Key Skills Essential Experience in a similar project- or programme-level PMO role Understanding and experience of formal project management methodologies, project planning, and project financial and resource management Strong digital literacy, including sophisticated knowledge of the MS Office suite of projects, and a willingness and skill to learn new tools quickly. Excellent documentation skills; ability to create high quality steering committee materials Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and shown ability to work effectively with all organisational levels. Management of data and proficiency with project management and reporting tools such as Clarity PPM or other similar PPM tools Willingness and ability to challenge and coach project managers on information consistency, quality, and standards. Preferred Global experience – working with teams in multiple locations simultaneously. Experience in large investment banking or financial services organisations Experience and knowledge of supporting a large number of projects. Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
