Job Description Gilead Sciences is a biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops and commercializes innovative therapeutics in areas of unmet medical need. Gilead Sciences seeks an experienced individual to deliver growing demand supporting client focused systems across the enterprise. This involves communication with internal IT stakeholders, both client (business users) and infrastructure teams, along with IT leadership. This role requires combining technical/troubleshooting and leadership skills, working with platforms such as Microsoft, Apple, SaaS, as well as Printer Service Technology. The role will provide support services and guidance on platforms deployed and operating within the global infrastructure. This role will serve as a value-added member of the overall support organization and represent platform interests and assisting in developing its strategic direction. Job Responsibilities: Support, maintain, enhance platform and services deployed within the global enterprise platform per business and IT requirements. Partners with product managers and business leadership to verify business needs and requirements that must be met by platform solutions. Accountable for working with Business Process Owner (BPO), IT Security, IT Infrastructure, and compliance teams to ensure the solution meets all policy and regulatory requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues independently and/or in collaboration with others. Provide technical support guidance to projects, teams, and service providers, ensuring that new initiatives have dependencies or configuration needs that are appropriately enabled. Collaborate and interact effectively with a geographically distributed team. Develop and maintain standards and policies related to the environment. Document solutions and operating procedures and train personnel on executing in accordance with the procedures. Maintain cost and schedule plans for assigned tasks while applying technical support concepts and operating with minimal oversight. Evaluate and prioritize customer support cases. Communicate and solve end user problems via video conference, email, live chat, and face-to-face meetings. Prepare accurate and timely reports. Knowledge, Experience and Qualification: 6+ years’ relevant experience with BS / BA 4+ years’ relevant experience with MS / MA / MBA Extensive experience with Dell/Nutanix/VMware/EXSi/Stretch Cluster Experience with Kubernetes/Docker/Linux/Redhat is required. Experience with Citrix or RDS would be helpful Experience with AWS would be helpful Extensive experience with various system platforms to include but not limited to Windows, Linux, Apple OS, IOS, Printer technology platforms, and other enterprise platforms. Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms including AWS and Microsoft Azure would be Extremely helpful Exposure to CFR 21 Part 11, Computer System Validation and/or GxP compliance Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities Customer and delivery focused. Self-Motivated with the ability to work independently. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
