Role Summary: The Data Governance Office (DGO) is a central function of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). The DGO is accountable for its data policy framework which includes Standards, controls and metrics, guidance, training materials and reporting on policy conformance. The team has a key role to play in operational resilience. The DGO also provides centralised tools for data governance implementation and business value from our metadata, including data cataloguing and lineage and integration with divisional systems. The DGO collaborates closely with divisional Chief Data Officers who are accountable for implementation of the Policy across their respective businesses. The successful candidate will make an impact on the continual evolution of the our framework. They will help us meet policy governance expectations and enable the organisation to handle data resilience and data risk. The DGO sits in the 'Data Governance, Resilience and Service Escalation' function where Bengaluru is being set up as our centre of excellence. Responsibilities: Independently run monthly metrics reporting through collaboration with internal partners at different levels, and pulling together information from various sources Drive automation of reporting metrics – define and lead a plan to implement Provide your ideas and expertise to continuously increase in our reporting and its visualisation (e.g. PowerBI) Assist the DGO Manager in oversight of Policy conformance – implementation of policy controls and metrics, helping ensure a suitable policy control environment Use your data governance expertise to own and implement data governance projects and help craft LSEG's strategy Partner with our Records Management team, to ensure approaches are aligned Skills Experience: 5-10 years’ working in a major services organisation with data or project management Demonstrable experience of policy governance, data governance frameworks, data resilience, data risk management, metrics and reporting – ideally in a sophisticated business environment in the financial services industry Hands-on working with dashboard tools such as PowerBI Ability to work and drive initiatives independently, proactively, and in partnership with cross-divisional colleagues, in a multi-functional environment Superb interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage, influence and provide transparency to stakeholders at all levels and across functions Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with solid attention to detail Other experience which would be beneficial to the role Understanding and hands-on experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Solidatus, Purview Familiarity with relevant data protection and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Experience of regulatory mandated programs.
