Job Description (Job advert content) Job Description (Job advert content) Key Functions and Responsibilities As an Engineering Manager in Benchmarking and Indices Division in Data Analytics, the individual will be responsible for developing and supporting delivery of varied initiatives that address key Equities Index Operational Risk concerns. The candidate will be required to provide technical expertise, ownership, and responsibilities in end-to-end IT project delivery. This role reports to Head of the function. Role Responsibilities Leads and manages a team of developers to develop innovative solutions to customer technology needs Stakeholder and delivery management Oversees the development and implementation of high-quality technology products Manages the performance and development of a team of developers Manages to budget targets, e.g., quality and schedule Implements new / improved software development processes and best practices, as required by group or departmental Heads Ensures the developer community has the technical skills required to deliver against long-term plans. Minimum Requirements This is role is for a strong technology manager who is expected to lead the team on both technical and people management front. Thorough knowledge of at least one programming language – C#, Java, or Python Expert experience in SQL Server Development, Optimizations, and migration to micro-services Significant experience in stakeholder management and being in control of E2E Roadmap and delivery of the project. Extensive experience in CI\CD tools automation required. Good experience in multi-tier solutions / microservices required. Good experience in AWS, Kafka Some experience of Business and Technical Analysis, Quality Assurance, Delivery Management, and/or Emerging Technology and Governance Strong verbal and written communication skills Advantageous Experience: Financial and Index markets experience Development Experience in Sybase, PostGres UI development in Angular is advantageous.
