Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The Security Guard will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent observational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to provide a visible deterrent against criminal activity.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and perimeter to ensure security and safety.
- Control access to the premises by checking identification, credentials, and visitor logs.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing assistance as necessary.
- Report any suspicious activities, security breaches, or hazards to the appropriate authorities.
- Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.
- Prepare and submit detailed incident reports as required.
- Operate security equipment such as CCTV systems, alarms, and communication devices.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel during incidents.
- Perform first aid or CPR if required and if certified.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a security guard or in a similar role.
- Valid security guard license or certification.
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
- Familiarity with report writing.
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
- Trained in first aid/CPR (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform security duties such as standing for long periods and patrolling areas.
Working Conditions:
- Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Indoor and outdoor work environments.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions.
