What Will You Do in This Role?
As a Supervisor of Clinical Operations (LVN), you will provide support to physicians and clinical staff in delivering high-quality healthcare. In addition to overseeing operational responsibilities and human resources, you will also perform patient care assessments and various medically related tasks. This administrative role entails working in an ambulatory care setting and performing both administrative duties and clinical services as needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all administrative (back office) clinical functions of the medical practice(s), ensuring a competent workforce and assessing the clinical staff's competency.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and revising standard operating policies and procedures in collaboration with senior management.
- Serve as a liaison for administrative support activities, such as facilities management, pharmacy, utilization management, quality management, risk management, human resources, payroll, clinical services, and systems support.
- Control expenses, including pharmacy and medical supplies, in accordance with budgetary guidelines.
- Collaborate with the management team, staff, and physicians in the clinical practices and related departments throughout the organization.
- Play a key role in researching, setting up, and implementing new procedures, projects, initiatives, workflows, and equipment.
- Fulfill back-office staff functions as needed, including managing patient flow, charting, room preparation, vital signs, maintaining medical records, and handling designated clinical care telephone interactions.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in an outpatient medical setting is required.
- Phlebotomy Certification of California is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from AHA or Red Cross is required.
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license from CA is required.
