Position Title: Kitchen Helper
Location: Dubai United Arab Emirates
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Head Chef/Kitchen Manager
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic culinary team. The Kitchen Helper will assist in the preparation of food, ensure the kitchen is clean and organized, and perform various tasks to support the kitchen staff. The ideal candidate should be a team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for food service.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables, fruits, and meats.
- Prepare basic dishes such as salads, sandwiches, and appetizers as directed by the chef.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or as instructed.
- **Kitchen Maintenance:**
- Ensure the kitchen, including workstations, sinks, and storage areas, is clean and organized at all times.
- Wash, dry, and store dishes, utensils, and cookware.
- Take out trash and recycling, and keep waste areas clean.
Support Duties:
- Assist in unloading and organizing deliveries and stock supplies in designated areas.
- Monitor food inventory and report any shortages or spoilage to the kitchen manager.
- Assist in plating and garnishing dishes during service hours.
Compliance and Safety:
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe workplace.
- Wear appropriate protective gear, such as gloves and aprons, as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Skills:

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
