We pride ourselves on our dedication to quality, sustainability, and innovationRESPONSIBILITIESDrive the execution of business strategy to achieve profitable and sustainable growth for the shareholders of Green Harvest Produce.Develop a solid marketing strategy to channel fruit into the markets, diversifying exposure with a focus on developing new future markets.Ensure adherence to legal and food safety requirements and adoption of required certifications for our supply base to maintain and grow our position as a preferred supplier.Drive synergies with Green Harvest Produce and other entities by identifying, sharing, and unlocking opportunities for the benefit of our stakeholders.Represent the company to customers and associations.Oversee budgeting processes and effective financial controls.Drive compliance with the Green Harvest Produce Health and Safety management system.Identify and manage risks.Effectively manage human capital, fostering a performance management culture and building a leadership talent pipeline.Oversee/Coordinate strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation, driving innovation and growth.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSA tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Commerce/Trade/Business or Marketing. An MBA would be advantageousMinimum of 5-10 years of senior managerial and sales experience within the export fruit environmentKnowledge of the fruit market structures, within South Africa and abroadExperience with working on fruit software systems and managing an ERP environmentA strong background in logistics management, with the ability to negotiate contracts
