This role requires an Associate or Technical degree in CAD Technology, Engineering, or Engineering Technology, along with 4+ years of experience in the structural design field. The ideal candidate will have a strong structural aptitude, as well as 4+ years of experience using Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD with 2D and 3D files.

As a Steel Structural Draftsman, you will work closely with the project managers and engineering/design department to create structural details and layout drawings. This includes steel layouts, connection details, industrial walkways, stairs and ladders, large equipment supports, large industrial duct supports, various framing and column support connections, and foundation drawings.

Additionally, you will coordinate with the Lead Structural Engineer on job phases, activities, and schedules, executing the client’s needs and expectations in a timely manner and on budget. You will also help create and maintain new structural CAD standards as we continue to grow our new structural department.

If you have specific experience in drafting/design layout for large industrial equipment and processes, that is a plus. Above all, candidates must have the ability to take direction well and communicate effectively to accomplish tasks.
