Key Skills and Experience
1. Market Knowledge: 3-5 years of experience in modern and general trade fresh produce sales, with atleast 2 years track record of supplying Tier 1 Supermarkets with a good understanding of consumer profiles and preferences.
2. Sales and Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in sales, with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals effectively. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and stakeholders across different segments of the market.
3. Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of various types of fresh fruits and vegetables, including their seasonality, origins, and quality indicators. Knowledge of local preferences, seasonality and cultural nuances.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English with Urdu / Mayalayam a plus. Ability to articulate the value proposition of fresh produce products with diverse stakeholders, and overcome language barriers.
5. Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers and other industry partners. Proactive approach to networking and building a solid customer base for long-term business growth.
6. Market Research and Analysis: Proficiency in conducting market research to identify opportunities, analyze competitors, and assess market trends. Ability to gather and interpret data to make informed decisions and develop targeted sales strategies.
7. Supply Chain Management: Understanding of supply chain dynamics related to fresh produce, including logistics and inventory management. Knowledge of quality control measures and food safety standards to ensure the integrity of products throughout the supply chain.
8. Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness of cultural norms, customs, and etiquette in the UAE market, and the ability to navigate cultural differences respectfully. Sensitivity to religious and dietary preferences that may influence purchasing decisions.
