Purpose of the role: Health, safety and environmental management and general administrative support for compliance management.Day-to-day responsibilities:Monitoring health and safety risks and hazards in the workplaceConducting all safety inspections in the workplaceAssist in developing and improving the baseline risk assessment and supplementary risk assessments for high risk activitiesUpdating and maintaining building safety fileManagement of paperwork and communications as requested by line managerAssist Line Manager to make improvements and implement required changesAssist with development of Safe Work Procedures (SWP’s) and Planned Task Observations (PTO’s) and ensure they are strictly adhered toCompile all relevant compliance documents for regional and project safety file submissionsAssist Line Manager to liaise with external agencies in relation to compliance mattersReporting (content and format as agreed) on a monthly basis or as otherwise requiredEnsure all administrative platforms are kept up to date and accurateEnsure compliance to relevant codes, legislation and procedures including health and safetyInvestigate and log all incidents, accidents, ad hoc hazards and near-missesMaintain accurate records/documentation associated with your workImmediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line ManagerResponsibly use resources and control expenses to meet agreed budgetary controlsAdhere to all organisation policies and proceduresInteract and co-operate with all members of the company, its suppliers and clients/customersAs part of the role you will be an active member of the HSE committee and will receive relevant legal appointments as will be required which might include but is not limited to, first aider, fire marshal, health and safety representative and incident investigator.You will be required to keep all your certifications up to date - Refresher training will be providedFrom time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role.
