Job Description Job Summary: This role is responsible for leading an engineering team that provides custom low voltage motor control centers (LVMCC) based on customer specifications. This role will lead a group of around 10-12 LVMCC application engineers that utilize modernized tools with solid modeling, linked electrical schematics and extracted BOMs to provide high engineering quality and productivity. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and project management skills with application engineering experience utilizing motor control products (Drives, SMC, starters, etc.). Additionally, familiarity and experience with Motor Control Centers and automation products is expected. The role will provide technical, commercial and order management guidance to a diverse engineering team. The main responsibilities of this role are to review orders with engineers to map out order processing strategy and risk identification and mitigation plans. Final engineering output is also reviewed to ensure customer requirements were met and a quality process was followed. To ensure team is able to do its best work, this manager will engage on order problems and help provide solutions removing obstacles to success at any point in the process. This position will have a high degree of visibility within the business unit with expectations to be engaged on various internal projects to improve customer experience and business performance. Minimum Qualifications for 2100LVMCC Team Leader: Minimum BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience Demonstrated Organizational and leadership skills. Strong technical background with expertise in problem solving techniques. Experience competency with motor control products and associated application to customer projects. Strong technical communication and documentation skills. Demonstrated ability to develop technical competencies in others. Experience in managing multiple priorities and meeting challenging customer and business expectations. Strong application background in LVMCCs. Bilingual English - Spanish Desired Qualifications for 2100LVMCC Team Leader: High Commitment to engineering and product quality in a high-volume production engineering environment. High Commitment to productivity through continuous improvement with demonstrated ability to lead change. High Commitment to on-time performance and meeting challenging schedules. High Commitment to cycle time reduction efforts in the engineering process Experience in Project management with technical and commercial risk identification with ability to plan risk mitigation strategies. Experience competency with Low Voltage (MCC) Motor Control Centers. Experience competency with ETO (Engineer-To-Order) processes including scheduling, Electrical Engineering, Panel Engineering, ABOM, Design Reviews, Final release, and factory support. Exposure to operational processes including scheduling, materials procurement, electrical panel assembly, wiring, and test. Experience with agency approval requirements such as NEC, UL, NEMA, etc. Experience competency with automation products and associated application to customer projects.
