(must be located in Monterrey Mexico for consideration). Job scope: The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for providing Purchasing support for the business conducted in its Monterrey, Mexico office, and is part of the North America (Canada, Mexico, and United States of America) regional purchasing team. It is expected that this position would be one of a team of buyers who support the regional purchasing activities while having close cross-functional collaboration among the business and procurement teams. Specific responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, obtaining pricing for proposals, purchase order placement, obtaining order confirmation, among other purchasing related activities. You will be part of 3 Purchasing Specialist reporting to North America region. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and different challenges. Experience requirements: Candidates must have good communication skills, both in written and in verbal in English. Previous buying and purchasing experience with 2 -5 years of professional experience. Understands procurement processes including vendor selection and order placement. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business preferred. Equivalent experience acceptable. Knowledge of Mining equipment is preferred. Individual should possess a sense of urgency, be proactive, customer-driven, and motivated. Examine and analyze departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information. Organization skills and ability to prioritize work based on appropriate requirements. Meet team and individual KPI. Issue enquires and ensures timely receipt of offers. Knowledge of Oracle based applications, as well as Microsoft applications. Good with data, spreadsheets, and data analysis. Commercial and technical knowledge in offer evaluations.
