, Argentina Job Family Group: Corporate Relations Worker Type: Regular Posting Start Date: December 20, 2023 Business unit: CoS and Corporate Relations Experience Level: Experienced Professionals Job Description: The Community Liaison Officer is an Individual Contributor. It will be relevant previous experience in the position and knowledge of the local environment (Social, cultural, political, industry sector, etc). Develop understanding of the local dynamics to reduce social and political tensions around the operation in asset. Communicate Shell’s business intentions to community members and bring community views back into the business Provide External Relations expertise for upstream at the local level, supporting the business´s license to operate and grow. Leverage the Shell brand and reputation, making a positive impact on the local society/communities at all upstream locations. Implement stakeholder engagement plans. Maintain a thorough understanding of the overall project, as well as area-specific activities. Understand the possible impacts of the project on the communities in the area through stakeholder sensing and engagement. Thoroughly understand the socio-economic conditions, and the essential socio-cultural values within the host communities. Provide early warning and mitigation information for potential community disruptions to the Project. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. tribal representatives, local leadership, business leaders, religious leaders, community organizations), and with other relevant parties including NGOs. Provide adequate information about the project to the community, using centrally prepared materials, e.g. leaflets, briefing papers [communicating]Understand the opportunities, challenges, issues and risks in the external landscape through stakeholder sensing and engagement. Ensure that social and reputational opportunities and risks are assessed at an early stage, mitigated or leveraged, and integrated into business plans. Requirements: Fluent in Spanish and English. Preferred have knowledge of the Neuquén Province. Experience in sustainable social investment programs development Knowledge on environment subject and experience with working with local communities. An understanding of broad energy industry issues and stakeholder perspectives. Bachelor's degree. Significant experience working in stakeholder’s relation in the field. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including sound writing and speaking skills, and issues management, stakeholder engagement, and the identification/management of non-• technical risks and key stakeholder relationships that may impact Shell´s reputation.
