, Argentina Job Family Group: Production Engineering Upstream Worker Type: Regular Posting Start Date: Business unit: Integrated Gas and Upstream Experience Level: Experienced Professionals Job Description: Purpose Argentina’s Remote Operating Center (ROC) is a critical element of production prioritization and driving a Goal Zero safety culture. Reporting to the unit Area Lead, the ROC Operator is accountable for real time monitor of Asset Safety Critical Elements and Operating Parameters to minimize API tiered events and deferment. Accountabilities - Monitor asset operating parameters to give early warning to Field teams for quick response minimizing deferment ‐ Alarm Management Operator Call Outs ‐ Participate in Shift Handovers virtually with crews in the field ‐ Validate well tests, deferment and prepare daily production report for the DPR Meeting ‐ Monitor wells performance and elaborate daily instructions to maximize production ‐ Exception Based Surveillance of wells on production (deferment tracking, production reports, deviations outside the operating window, etc.) ‐ Trend data; alarm rates, production, analytical data and facility issues to identify improvements ‐ Monitor assets after hours and dispatch operators based on priorities optimizing man hours ‐ Monitor Safety Critical Elements (gas, fire, high levels, etc) with goal to minimize API tiered events ‐ Manage emergency calls, drills and coordination of first response following the ERP ‐ Continue to build the ROC to be the center for all day-to-day production related communications and facilitation of daily prioritization ‐ Champion initiatives for the ROC to enable greater organizational simplification and elimination of waste ‐ Working closely with Lead Operators, maintenance teams, and engineering teams to reduce deferment, maintain operating integrity, and manage change Dimensions This role delivers exception-based surveillance of all wellsite facilities in Argentina Unconventional Asset related to production (oil/gas processing facilities and wells). Requirements ‐ Exposure to multiple facilities throughout Argentina ‐ Significant knowledge of SCADA, PI process book, Radio system. ‐ Knowledge of pump jacks and plunger lift would be an asset ‐ Significant experience in a technical operating environment ‐ Solid knowledge of the Argentina Emergency Response protocol ‐ Demonstrated commitment to HSE Goal Zero. ‐ Good knowledge of Shell systems and processes: ESP, ME, Permit to Work ‐ Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and can adjust priorities based on business needs while maintaining a practical approach. ‐ Needs to experience courage and ability to respectfully challenge status quo ‐ Willingness to embrace change and ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment - DISCLAIMER: Please note: We occasionally amend or withdraw Shell jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to the advertised closing date.
