Job Description What The Role Is As part of the Sectoral Transformation Group in IMDA, the SMEs Go Digital Division aims to make going digital simple for SMEs. With digital technology transforming every sector of Singapore’s economy, it is essential that our SMEs have the digital technologies and capabilities to seize growth opportunities in the digital economy. In support of this effort, the SMEs Go Digital Division develops Industry Digital Plans (IDP) as a roadmap to guide SME's digital adoption and capability development, as well as supports technology adoption by SMEs through the curation and pre-approval of suitable digital solutions. What You Will Be Working On Support the creation and update of assigned sectors’ Industry Digital Plans: Perform market scan for specific sectors, technical reviews, and technology assessment with domain leads/experts including but not limited to Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Robotics Process Automation, Blockchain, Personal Data Security, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Study how latest digital technology trends can impact the sectors, identify potential risk/issues, and analyse SMEs’ adoption and utilisation data to identify opportunities for redesigning processes to maximise business outcomes at both enterprise and industry levels Creating a library of industry and technology knowledge for the SMEs Go Digital division, including the consolidation and creation of artefacts to documents the technology landscape, key players and segments, demos, tech specifications, experiments and results, key contacts, and assessment of technologies and solutions Simplify information and technical jargons so it is easily understood by internal stakeholders and SMEs Architecting and curating industry-specific solutions that could be widely adopted by Singapore SMEs in the near term Define and launch call-for-proposals to support the transformation and development of new solutions of assigned sectors Provides additional technological support to the Solution Curation team to identify and determine the qualification, and qualify, of ready-to-use solutions for SMEs Coordinate with and leverage other technology research and development teams within IMDA to define specific implementations of the latest technologies for the assigned sectors What We Are Looking For Background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business IT or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience with solution architecture, pre-sales, or technology research on projects involving digital technologies Strong working knowledge in ICT (added advantage if you have one or more technical knowledge domain in Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Robotics Process Automation, Blockchain, Personal Data Security, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Technology etc.) Strong communication and stakeholder management to bring across clarity in technical solutions for various audiences Domain knowledge of one or more key industries is a plus: manufacturing, land/air/sea transport, construction, environment services, security, early childhood, healthcare, financial services, legal, retail, food services/manufacturing, logistics, media etc. #LI-JL2 The Singapore Public Service plays a key role in the economic growth, progress and stability of Singapore by formulating and implementing government policies, as well as providing key public services.
