In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to help plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes and/or projects with teams in Asia and the U.S. to optimize manufacturing of units and required components. In this role, you also will work with managers and supervisors to implement quality measures, in addition to training various teams on quality procedures and spearheading the collection of related data. The ideal candidate has excellent troubleshooting skills and can generate and execute validation protocols for new or replaced equipment—as well as process changes and support continuous improvement of production equipment/processes to consistently meet established standards. And we’re here to help you succeed: Lakeshore recently earned its Great Place to Work® Certification™ and is proud to put its associates first.A day in the office looks like this:Overseeing manufacturing feedback to the U.S. Design Quality Engineering team; ensuring proper aesthetic, quality, safety, durability and cost effectivenessCommunicating design and performance expectations to vendors to ensure successful product quality outcomes; communicating quality and test plan expectations to the vendorSupporting prototyping phase to ensure product meets requirementsOverseeing preproduction and production phases to ensure product meets requirementsWorking with vendors to develop necessary fixturing to ensure consistent and efficient product executionClearly articulating status of projects to functional leadership and U.S.-based teams, while leveraging the regional support of the VP and GM of the Asia divisionProblem-solving inefficiencies in the design and engineering processesProviding detailed responses to product and technical requestsActing as Lakeshore’s “Engineering Voice” to vendorsDriving root-cause corrective action as issues arise
