[What the role is] The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore’s central bank and integrated financial regulator. [What you will be working on] The IT Department is responsible for the project management, design, implementation and operational support of IT Applications in MAS. The teams manages and ensures the smooth operations and delivery of IT projects that serves the Financial Industry as well as MAS users. You will be part of the Central Banking Devt Platforms division, responsible for managing the systems supporting the to the currency management systems to provide currency note services to the banks and security couriers. As part of the team, you will: Manage the Notes Operations Registration Management System (NORMS) and other currency management systems to ensure optimal performance and high system availability to deliver currency note services to the banks and security couriers Work closely with the user department and vendor to plan and devise the solution for enhancements to NORMS and currency management systems to meet business requirements, enhance system performance and comply with MAS IT security standards Work closely with the user department and vendor to plan and implement enhancements to NORMS and currency management systems Perform annual technology and cyber risk assessment of the critical IT system and work with external agencies e.g. Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, GovTech, Auditor-General’s Office, as well as periodic risk assessment for the currency management systems Manage the key contractors to achieve optimal performance and contractual requirements are met [What we are looking for] Bachelor Degree or Master Degree with minimally 5 years of relevant working experience in system portfolio and application management, IT business analysis, solution design, project management and system operations and maintenance. Experience in managing projects and product development using waterfall methods and/or agile methods Experience in establhing vendor contracts, and managing IT vendor performance Experience in managing operations, handling of issues, and systems monitoring Expertise in IT Business analysis Software quality management Expertise in the following will be an advantage: Installing, configuring, and implementing new applications and system on GCC or AWS Application technology, particularly in the area of containers, microservices and cloud technologies Understanding of cash/material-handling operations, operations engineering or supply chain automation operations Certifications in PMP/ ScrumMaster® and relevant technical skills Able to work independently as well as in a team Ability to work with details and time-sensitive issues. Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations. Strong interpersonal communication and organizing skills to coordinate project activities. Resourceful and possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Good analytical skills, and able to mulit-task and deliver results in a timely manner Effective people management skills with positive attitude and drive As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
