JOB OBJECTIV: The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will manage and coordinate STES’ manufacturing activities within the subcontractor facilities (SAEC, Riyadh and SCC, Riyadh) and be the primary point of contact at an operational / delivery level between the subcontractors and Thales OME UK. ROLES RESPONSIBILITIES: The jobholder will part of a manufacturing team (including SAEC and SCC) to deliver products to schedule and quality. The jobholder will be responsible for supporting the transfer of new products from the development environment into the production environment within STES’ subcontractor’s facilities and ensuring that the technical performance, functionality and quality are maintained and delivered in accordance with the customers’ needs. In a program environment the jobholder will be responsible for the planning, estimating, execution of engineering activities and management associated with the assembly and test of the product. The jobholder will lead a cross-function manufacturing team and work in conjunction with the Program Managers (STES Thales UK), Industrial Architect (Thales UK), Manufacturing Engineer (Thales UK), Product Design Authority (Thales UK) and Systems Engineering Manager (Thales UK). The jobholder will support the implementation of the manufacturing activities in accordance with the plans, flowcharts within the constraints of the manufacturing environment. The jobholder will be responsible for ensuring compliance of the activities within the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations. The jobholder will actively network with fellow engineers to improve their knowledge and domain experience. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 10+ years working in a manufacturing/Engineering environment. QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Engineering PREFERRED SKILLS 1. Be self-motivated and capable of working alone and with teams. 2. Have good written, oral and presentation skills to allow effective communication with peers, and both technical and non-technical customers. 3. Have an analytical, methodical and organized approach. 4. Have proven experience of working in different manufacturing and/or engineering environments. 5. Have experience of managing non-conformance (e.g. Failure Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action).
