Job Description Summary: The Production Planner develops and execute the manufacturing plan to support the plant objectives such as but not limited to efficiency, on-time delivery, inventory levels and customer service. Executes on Purchase orders to guarantee a healthy supply of parts from supplier. Is responsible for daily production requirements through the analysis and reporting of production order management. Works with management team to ensure that deadlines and schedules are met and thereby preventing line stoppages/delays to maintain a high level of customer service while making the plant efficient. Responsibilities: 1.Drive daily production efficiencies by releasing/sequencing the manufacturing orders related to specific product lines and/or assigned project work based on material/ capacity availability. 2.Work along with the MPS to prepare a weekly production schedule based on customers' Needs and available resources and review weekly finished goods inventories, identify trends and act accordingly. 3.Work with the Master Scheduler and Manufacturing Engineers to thoroughly understand and advise on managing short term/long term capacities to minimize the cause for past due orders. 4.Updates plant SAP material records as required (lot size, safety stocks, reorder points, lead times, etc.) - for Semi-Finish Goods to ensure shipment and on-time performance to support production requirements. 5.Monitor Customer Service metrics and analyze performance gaps related to assigned product lines, using root cause problem solving tools. 6.Manage material availability and inventory levels for Semi-Finished Goods by setting / monitoring SAP exceptions. 7.Create, modify and maintain realistic material, manufacturing and procurement strategies for new product introductions/phase out products to support the NPM (new product manufacturing) process for Semi-Finished Goods/Finished Goods. Qualifications: 1.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration. 2. One year of experience in Planning or Supply Chain. 3.Advanced level of English. 4.Proficient in Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint Advanced in Excel. 5.Experience using SAP, preferable. 6.APICS Certification, or pursuing APICS Certification, preferable.
