Job Purpose Design strategic plans for site EHSS performance and ensure adequate resourcing for site EHS organization, Advice management on their key responsibilities towards successful EHSS control framework Support implementation and maintenance of effective EHS management system for Cairo site, to comply with legal legislation and corporate EHS standards. Increase EHS awareness and contribution among different levels to achieve site objectives and targets. Follow up EHS programs and projects to ensure compliance with time schedule and continual improvement for performance. Conduct training sessions to Cairo site personnel. Key Responsibilities Represent EHS in new projects and upgrades in Cairo site, ensure the provision of EHS advice to project team, dealing with outside contractors, taking account of statutory and corporate requirements and site bossiness objectives. Design, implement, facilitate culture programs at Cairo site, report to EHS head any identified gaps and areas of improvement. Advice, assist and monitor site personnel to ensure that the site maintains the best EHS performance and to report to management gaps and areas of improvement. Promote and encourage achieving high level of awareness to maintain current legislation, updates, corporate requirements and industry best practise between EHS coordinators and other EHS teams. Identify, investigate and report root causes for incidents / accidents and EHS compliance deviations and recommend corrective and preventive actions for future improvements. Review and plan and ensure delivery of annual EHS training programmer to meet site business needs. Implement annual monitoring programs for site EHS activities and effluents. Responsible to conduct site wide assessments and assess site changes that impact EHS on the site as a whole unit. Monitor shared services EHS performance on site (Catering – Fleet - Laundry – Gardening - General services), report to site EHS Head identified gaps and areas of improvements. Maintain an effective record keeping system considering confidentiality. Advice on the purchase of PPE and ensure reduce of loss prevention due to fire risk and select firefighting equipment according to purpose. Maintain EHS local and global regulations and quality management systems standards during work. Use GPS / (Continues improvement) tools and techniques effectively. Why you? Basic Qualifications: Bachelor degree of Science, Pharmacy or Engineering At least 5 years’ experience in multinational company preferably in the same field. General practitioner for Professional qualifications EHS topics (such as NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) Well-developed influencing and interpersonal skills as is the ability to plan within the context of the business plan. Ability to lead projects and handle change of management Key traits / competencies Appropriate practical experience in a manufacturing environment. Appropriate working knowledge of Local EHS legislation and management techniques. IT literate and effective in the use of with common Microsoft Office Web applications. Ability to plan and manage own workload with limited supervision. Tactical and strategic planning abilities demonstrated by delivery of a number of significant projects. Effective management of EHS and environmental management systems Understanding of legal requirements of occupational health and safety laws and requirements Experience in conducting risk assessment.
