About the Team The Multi-cloud platform engineering team is growing fast to support the phenomenal growth in the number of Workday customers. We are looking for Senior Software Engineers to join our team. We want passionate developers who love technology, platform engineering, operations and want to make an impact. We are the core team that supports the multi-cloud platform that enables Workday to run on the Public Cloud(AWS/GCP). Our services and tools will accelerate and ease the adoption of Workday’s solution in our customer’s business. Our target users are consultants, internal Workday service teams and technical partners who set-up a new customer in the Workday application. A major task includes migrating data from their existing landscape into the Workday cloud. About the Role The right candidate will put the customer first, understand their user stories and will identify ways to support the Public Cloud version of Workday, ensuring stability and ability to scale and meeting the needs both of our customers and other Workday technical teams. What does a Software Engineer for our Multi-cloud Platform Services team do at Workday? Architecture, designing, development, deployment and ownership of critical platform services that build the multi-cloud platform. These modules are the building blocks that help make our software great. Innovation and solving problems are always on our mind; our engineers are constantly evolving our systems and are motivated to rapidly deliver features to production. Collaborating and communicating with other teams are essential to achieve success. About You Basic Qualifications: For Sr Software Development Engineer 5+ years of software and systems delivery experience 3+ years of Development and Operations experience on a public cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure/Oracle) Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent 3+ yrs. of experience with operations and working with the Kubernetes platform. 3+ yrs. of experience with software development experience using Go Lang. Python or Ruby or Linux Scripting experience For Software Development Engineer 3+ years of software and systems delivery experience At least 2 yrs. of Development and Operations experience on a public cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure/Oracle) Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent 2+ yrs. of experience with operations and working with the Kubernetes platform. 1 + yrs. of experience with software development experience using Go Lang. Python or Ruby or Linux Scripting experience Other Qualifications: Storage, Networking, Systems and Operations experience on a Public Cloud platform Continuous Delivery experience, owning your service through to production. Experience in Agile environments/Agile development methodologies. Experience developing automation solutions, CI/CD tools. Excellent communication and teamwork skills Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
