• Provide HR interface to employees by developing an employee support concept, selecting appropriate contact channel and installing self-service options. Manage HR-related employee queries, manage response times for queries and perform administrative procedures for the Employee Interaction Centre. Also, lead the Payroll function by developing payroll process and concepts, managing the processing of payments periods and adjustments and developing and managing time and attendance. Maintain and administer employee earnings, manage processing of taxes and complaints.• JOB RESPONSIBILITIES – Manage the Performance of the Employee Support Portfolio - Ensure the effective management and coordination of the required activities - Inform HR and line management of issues with the potential to lead to Employee Support risks and advise how to resolve them - Empower, guide and advise line management and HR Business Partners on required actions and issues - Lead initiatives in support of HR strategies and plans - Workforce Planning Coordination - Ensure alignment and integration between Employee Support and HR strategies and initiatives - Create awareness and educate the HR community and line management on Employee Support practices, policy, products and tools - Oversee the management and maintenance of the required systems and information - Develop employee support concept - Select appropriate contact channels - Install self-service and support options, such as call centres, that enable employee to access HR informationManage the performance of the Payroll Portfolio - Ensure the effective management and coordination of the required activities - Inform HR and line management of issues with the potential to lead to - Payroll risks and advise on how to resolve them - Empower, guide and advise line management and HR Business Partners on required actions and issues. - Lead initiatives in support of HR strategies and plans - Ensure alignment and integration between Payroll and HR strategies and initiatives - Create awareness and educate the HR community and line management on - Payroll practices, policy, products and tools - Oversee the management and maintenance of the required systems and information; Manage complaints - Build relationships with relevant stakeholders and improve business partner relations - Partner with relevant internal and external stakeholders to support delivery - Obtain required information from key role players - Support business partners in developing solutions to issues - Provide Team Leadership - Coordinate activities in Group and Business Units - Provide high level advice and guidance - Manage the performance, productivity, development and wellbeing of the team - Ensure leadership and performance that is aligned with the Telkom culture and value - Ensure legislator compliance and corporate governance - Support company performance targets - Control cost and expenses against the operational budget (OPEX)
