As the Principal Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and guidance in the design and delivery of high scalable fir-for-purpose customer engagement and back-office process solutions, architecture, technologies and governance.Additionally, this role will lead the construction of a combined ecosystem of traditional on premise and cloud platforms.The role will be responsible for the:Design of technical architecture and associated roadmap for implementationAssessment of in-market and emerging technologiesDiscussion and collaboration with TSA industry partners to inform technical strategyRecommendations on technical resourcing and support to deliver against the desired technology roadmapUse of infrastructure-as-code techniques to allow for turnkey deployment of systemsImplementation of cloud network design in collaboration with TSAAdministration of both new and existing Linux systemsIntegration with messaging platforms using various RESTful and Realtime websocket APlsDesign of supporting data architecture to facilitate system integrations and ongoing self-service reporting capabilitiesTo be successful in the role, it is critical that you have:Degree Qualified in an IT related discipline is highly desirableExtensive IT ExperienceStrong knowledge of Linux administration and systemsExperience with either Python, Ruby or GoKnowledge of functional programmingExtensive networking knowledge and conceptsExperience using one of the major cloud infrastructure providersExperience using infrastructure-as-code and devops tooling, such as cloud formation, terraform, ansible puppet etcNon-technically, it is important that you can:Communicate and Influence recommendations and requirementsDeliver against agreed roadmapsImplement best practise Agile processes and methodologiesSupport leaders with scoping, prioritisation and breakdown and oversight of client deliverablesCoach to develop team and individual competencies across delivery technologies and methodologiesCelebrate team success and encourage and motivate peersBe a valued team member, contributing positively and identifying opportunities to make improvements across the teamWe want you to love that you do and where you do it!
