This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic work environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality infrastructure projects.RESPONSIBILITIESManage and oversee the bridge design process, ensuring project progress aligns with timelines and standards.Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.Act as the Employers Agent/Engineer in accordance with relevant engineering standards and protocols.Develop and review detailed bridge design deliverables.Supervise and mentor technicians and junior engineers, ensuring high-quality outputs.Prepare and review comprehensive tender documents for bridge projects.Ensure all projects comply with relevant standards and regulations.Oversee the design and implementation of bridge infrastructure projects.Engage in revenue-earning activities to support the financial goals of the department.Maintain the highest standards of service excellence and project delivery.Apply Risk and Quality Management principles effectively.Chair and document technical meetings, ensuring clear communication and follow-up actions.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBSc (Civil Engineering) or BTech (civil or structural engineering)Pr Eng or PT Tech (ECSA) Registration.Registered bridge inspector will be advantage.Minimum of 12 years plus experience in Bridge experience.Knowledge of SANRAL process will be an advantage.Preparation of contract documentation, specifications and scheduling.Experience in design of features bridges will be an advantage.
