Partner with the best Bently Nevada, a Baker Hughes business, is looking for a Product Compliance Engineer to work closely with our design teams to deliver next-generation industrial equipment. This role involves regulatory experience in an industrial sector and being comfortable working with agencies in North America, Europe, and Asia, while also having strong engineering fundamentals to successfully interface with the technical teams. As a Product Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for: Reviewing and understanding the applicable standards required by Law in country that apply to the relevant products. Developing new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting based upon precedents in the organizations. Driving Technical Regulations and Standards team to define approaches and methodologies. Driving implementation of knowledge management and stimulates the sharing of knowledge. Maintaining the validity of existing regulatory certification, listings, licenses, and registrations for products. Performing gap analysis between old and new standards to determine testing or design changes required to meet the new standards and communicating the requirements to a cross-functional team. Communicating with direct team and supervisor. Presenting to internal teams on metrics, project status, and research. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Experience in Technical Regulations and Standards and/or experience in the design of electrical and electronic products. Desired Characteristics Have solid oral and written communication skills. Have the ability to work independently, and drive initiatives with minimal oversight. Have established project management skills. Have good command with programming languages C, C++, or Python. Have demonstrated prior experiences in certifying hazardous environment products to standards including US/CAN and ATEX/IECEx/UKEX for Class I Div 1/Div 2; Zone 0/Zone 1/Zone 2. Additional familiarity with Intrinsically Safe designs for use in Explosive Atmospheres is highly desirable. Have existing relationships with certification agencies including CSA, UL, Intertek, DEKRA, BASEEFA, TUV and etc. Possess familiarity with import/export needs for regional requirements, i.e. CE, KC, UKCA, RCM, INMETRO, CCC, NEPSI, KCs, PESO/CCOE, TRCU, Pattern Approval and etc. Have experience with global wireless directives, like those maintained by the FCC, NOM, NCC, JRL, ANATEL, SRRC and etc. Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
