Our client forms part of local government has the above mentioned role available. The role is hybrid – the resource should be able to work remotely but also be available to be in office as and when needed as well as be available at the client’s site as and when required. This is usually something that is not predictable and such requests are based on where a project is at in that cycle of implementation. Although, the first few months of work would likely be in office as there would be a need for knowledge transfer. The candidate will be based at client’s offices as well as availing themselves at the main offices, as and when required. There will be a probation period of 3 months before the permanent placement. This candidate also needs to be aware of travel to the different branches such as George and JHB. The travel is dependent on the projects at the time and can be for a week at a time or less.OverviewTo perform business and system analysis tasks through specialisation in understanding the business usage of information technology (IT) and helping technology add value. To transform business requirements (functional & non-functional) into a set of technical software requirements that specify the software solution.Investigate and perform business analysis, determine business system requirements and identify alternatives. Set up and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather, elicit and identify business and system requirements. Design and document innovative business solutions using information technology. Translate business requirements to a level of detail appropriate for implementation using user journeys, user stories with acceptance criteria; process diagrams; data models; business rules, mock-ups etc). Assist technical designers to understand the business requirements. Testing of technical solutions, business and technical processes and calculations. Assist and sign off the test cases for functional and non-functional, integration and testing activities. Participate and provide input into the design and functional discussion with the technical designers.Minimum RequirementsExperience & Qualifications: Degree in BCom Informatics / BSC Diploma in Business analysis preferred.Key RequirementsMinimum 6 years’ experience in a Business Analyst role. Experience in the Investment environment (preferred). 2-3 years’ experience working with API’s. Must have Agile working experience. SQL Knowledge (beneficial).
