Job Description: Job Title Quantitative Analyst Location London Corporate Title Vise President (VP) The Model Risk Management (MoRM) team provides independent oversight and governance of model analytics and their implementation into the risk architecture that drive valuation, risk and stress results. Pricing Model Validation as part of MoRM is responsible for the independent review and analysis of all derivative pricing models used for valuation and risk across the bank. In the role you will independently review and analyse derivative models for price and risk of equity/funds and other pricing models. You will be expected to perform model validation testing and derive conclusions leading to proper assessment of the model risk involved. The outcome of review and analysis and independent implementation (in C++) will form the basis of discussion with key model stakeholders including: Front Office Trading; Front Office Quants; Market Risk Managers; and Finance Controllers. In addition to theoretical analysis and review it is required (where appropriate) that model/products are independently implemented in a managed C++ library. Perform model validation testing and derive conclusions leading to proper assessment of the model risk involved. The outcome of review and analysis and independent implementation (in C++) will form the basis of discussion with key model stakeholders including: Front Office Trading; Front Office Quants; Market Risk Managers; and Finance Controllers. Your skills and experience PhD qualification in numerate subject such as Mathematics, Physics. Exceptionally strong candidates with MSc/MPhil post-graduate qualifications or equivalent work experience will also be considered. Experience in technical Model Validation derivative pricing team or Front Office Quant role. Excellent mathematical ability with an understanding of Stochastic Calculus, Partial Differential Equations, Monte-Carlo Methods, Finite Difference Methods, and Numerical Algorithms. Understanding of derivative pricing models and exotic/structured products Experience coding in C++ and python in a managed codebase. Excellent communication skills – both written and oral.
