[What the role is] DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, LICENSING OPERATIONS [What you will be working on] You will be in the licensing operations team that oversees the development and management of taxi, private hire cars, public and private hire bus drivers. As part of the team, you will handle enquiries from members of the public on matters pertaining to vocational licences (VLs). In the course of your work, you will be required to implement policies and procedures relating to vocational licencing. You will be required to vet and approve VL applications submitted via the GoBusiness Licensing Portal using the Public Transport Licensing System 2.0. You will also ensure the timely processing of applications received. You will assess the monthly screening records of VL holders to ensure that they continue to meet the guideline criteria and ensure timely preparation of the letters to be sent to applicants on their application status. You will also be required to support counter service operations at Sin Ming Customer Service Centre. [What we are looking for] • Tertiary qualification in any discipline • At least 5 years of working experience preferred • Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills • Knowledge or experience in strategic thinking will be an advantage • Highly adaptable team player who is able to work independently and multi- task in a dynamic and fast environment • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint The Singapore Public Service plays a key role in the economic growth, progress and stability of Singapore by formulating and implementing government policies, as well as providing key public services.
