[What the role is] Manager / Deputy Manager, Collections, Receivables and Refunds [What you will be working on] You will be part of the Finance team responsible for the accounting, operations, compliance, and controls of the accounts receivable functions and Goods Services Tax (GST) Output Tax function. This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain insights on and enhance accounts receivable controls; drive process improvements and co-solution with our internal business groups to derive policies/processes/system solutions to support an effective accounts receivable function. You may be offered longer term contract with good performance. Your key responsibilities include: • Leading a team to ensure effective execution of day-to-day accounts receivable function operations and debtors credit control, and timely quarterly GST submission. • Executing year-end financial closing processes for the accounts receivable function and liaising with internal/external auditors to support annual financial report preparation. • Review/prepare periodic debtors aging/arrears report and identify measures to strengthen debtors control. • Partnering selected business groups and internal/external stakeholders to ensure timely collections from debtors. • Ensuring completeness, timeliness and accuracy in clearance of outstanding bank reconciliation items, offsetting of payments with billings, as well as processing and reporting of online platform collections. • Leading/participating in digitalisation and transformation initiatives to enhance operational processes to achieve work efficiency. [What we are looking for] • Tertiary qualification in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification. • Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience with at least 1 year in supervisory position is preferred • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, resourceful and able to work independently. • Meticulous with numbers and competent in Microsoft Office applications • Effective team player who is committed and self-driven • Knowledge of SAP/NFS financial systems, GST Accounting/Reporting, data analytics/visualisation tools Robotic Process Automation (RPA – UiPath, Python) will be an added advantage.
